Love, Love, Love!!!

Kate’s House
Fellowship Saturation Weekend
We were blessed to spend the past weekend bathing in love. Friday night, Rich and I had a dinner date. Upon our return home, we watched the video from our 2007 wedding, which we had just received that day. What a joy it was to relive those special memories. It was especially sweet for me to hear the sound of my mother’s voice on the recording.
Saturday, we traveled to Oceanside. My dear friend Kate was hosting a barbecue, as her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren were visiting from Utah. My daughter, son-in-law, and grandson met us at the barbecue. We spent a happy Saturday evening catching up with old friends and watching the kids race around.
But wait, there’s more!
Sunday morning, my daughter’s mother-in-law, Judi, met us at church. We worshiped together, then returned to our home so she could teach me how to make biscuits and gravy, a favorite of Rich’s. After we ate our fill of breakfast, we drove to the marina. Judi’s dad Buck met us and we all went out for an afternoon on the water.
Judi and I chatted about how blessed we were that our children’s love for one another had united us all. Buck and Rich talked about sailing. Near the end of our cruise, we watched a pod of dolphin playing  in the ocean swells.
And through the entire weekend, I marvelled at the wealth of loving people God has placed in my life.
7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
