She Said "Yes"!

Aloha!

And So Did She. And So Did She.

Our vacation begins tomorrow.  My husband, Rich, and I will fly to Hawaii to visit my daughter Elaine, (whose birthday was yesterday), her husband Rob, our grandsons, Cadence and Sawyer, and the baby sister who is eagerly expected in September.
We’ve arranged care for our dogs. I’ve covered my responsibilities at work.
And I’ve been blessed to arrange coverage here, too. Last month I realized that I craved a true rest from my everyday activities. I asked some of my amazing friends, God-hearted women of the blogosphere, to cover my space while we’re gone. They said “yes.”

While we’re away, the posts will continue here, each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Maybe you already know these women, their voices, and their stories. Maybe they’ll be new to you. Either way, I hope you’ll remember that you’re reading the words of women with generous spirits:

Thanks to them, I can go to Hawaii and focus on being fully present with my husband, our kids, our grandchildren. I’m likely to bring some stories home to share, but I don’t need to carve hours out of our precious vacation time to write them as they happen. I can save them for later.

My dear sisters have given me the gift of rest. It’s priceless.

You’re gonna love it. I promise.

9 So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. 11 Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.
