Weekend Reflection: First

3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

  1. What an amazing photo. It seems alive. Lovely colours – Would love to attempt to paint it. Can you ask for permission?
I am following you from Still Saturday
    Blessings,
    Janis

  2. It’s interesting that God made light the first day. It wasn’t like He needed it to see by to create the rest of His creation. And yet it is vital to us in so many ways. He is the light unto our path. The beacon of hope in the darkness.
He is the light of the world. The FIRST and the LAST… I wonder if light will be the last thing to go when creation, as we know it now, ceases to exist.
Interesting thoughts for a Sunday. Thank you, Sheila! Have a blessed week!

  3. amazing photo. I sat for a few moments of peace and enjoyed it. Thank you!

  4. Gorgeous, as usual. I LOVED this!!! Sure would love to be able to do this sort of thing. AND, thanks much for sharing so gorgeously.

    • Thank you, Joanne. But I’m puzzled. What sort of thing would you love to be able to do?

      • I’ve become an OK photographing person, but would truly love to be overwhelmingly better. But, life is life. Can’t do it all, can’t do everything. Sorry I confused you, wasn’t straight-forward enough. BUT it’s good to hear from you…always is.

  5. Sheila–‘light’ is the theme of my blog life and it always blesses my spirit to read Scriptures that remind me why. I love the power of this verse. God spoke, and ta da! There was light….. no big deal. Kind of boggles the mind. Thanks for sharing the beauty.

  6. It is my privilege, Jody. Than you.

  7. Powerful photo and perfect with the verse you have shared.
