All I Need to Know about Worship I Learned from Christmas Carols
I love Christmas music. Many of the cherished songs of the season include lyrics that describe worship. Here’s my list of favorite Christmas carol worship instructions. I’ve italicized the verbs–those good old action words:

Fall on your knees! (“O Holy Night”)

Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan’s power

Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels (“O Come All Ye Faithful”)

Hail the heav’n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Son of Righteousness! (“Hark the Herald Angels Sing”)

Then let us all rejoice again,
On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day (“I Saw Three Ships”)

Look now, for glad and golden hours
Come swiftly on the wing (“It Came Upon A Midnight Clear”)

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
