Love’s Gifts

‘Tis the Season….
We have another wedding in the works! Rich’s daughter Rebecca accepted Jeff’s proposal on Thursday evening.

Like most couples, they’ve had their challenges. Last summer, struggling, they stepped back to consider their relationship and examine its dimensions. Rebecca moved into our home, which provided her dad and me with ringside seats for this phase of their love story.

After months of discussion, reflection, and prayer, they’ve decided to enter into marriage.

Our vantage point through this process has convicted Rich and me that they’ve strengthened their relationship and are well-prepared to wed. We are overjoyed to bless this marriage, especially in light of the growth we’ve had the privilege to witness over these past months. God’s hand on their lives has been clear to us.

This marriage will also provide us with a precious bonus: Three beautiful grandchildren!

31 As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” 32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.
