Godspotting Birthday Giveaway!

Go Ahead, Use Sticks on Those Bongos. It’s a Birthday Celebration!
Grandson Cadence, 2008.

Three Years A-Blogging
Tomorrow marks Godspotting‘s third birthday. To celebrate, I’m giving away a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Here Comes the Bride: 101 Stories of Love, Laughter, and Family.

An odd selection, you say?  Maybe so. But you see, I wrote one of the stories in the book, so it seems like a good giveaway. I won’t deface it with an autograph unless our winner specifically requests one.

To enter, kindly leave a comment. We’ll draw one winner’s name at random at nine a.m. on Saturday, June 30. If you would like to enter more than once, share a link to Godspotting with Sheila on Facebook or Twitter, then come back and leave another comment telling me you’ve done so*. You earn another entry for each “share” you post in the comments section here. I will announce the winner here and contact the winner privately to arrange delivery.

I wanted to share some reflections with you, since I did last year. To be honest, everything I said last year still carries truth. My husband remains amazingly supportive. I’ve built more friendships and they deepen all the time. Work on that book project I dove into continues, though the water I’m swimming through is rather murky at the moment.

So I’ll leave you with this, instead: Thank you. Thank you for reading, for commenting, for sharing this life we’re doing together. I am profoundly grateful for you.

Yeah, you. Writing requires solitude, but you all drive away any hint of loneliness.

And you motivate me to acts of love and [hopefully!] good works.

23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. 24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.

Hebrews 10:23-25 (NLT)

*Hint: Your odds of winning are better if you share a link to a different post so folks don’t land here at the contest announcement. In the right column, way down at the bottom, you’ll find a search engine for this blog if you’d like to look for a favorite older post.
