Weekend Reflection: Magnify

Picture of an arbor.

Gable House, Pasadena. 2012

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul will make its boast in the Lord; The humble will hear it and rejoice. 3 O magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.

4 I sought the Lord, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him And saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of theLord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them. Psalm 34:1-7 (NASB)

It’s the weekend. Around here we remove our shoes and tour the stillness. Start with Sandra Heska King’s Still Saturday.  Then drop by Deidra Riggs’ Sunday Community. You’ll join us, yes? We’ve saved you a place.

  1. Visiting from Still Saturday. Love this verse…looked to Him and were radiant, their faces never ashamed. Yes! Thank you for this encouraging, hopeful verse.

  2. I love that Psalm and I love the song sung with those Words. You just touched my heart. I will be going upstairs to work on my hair — prepping it for a special anniversary dinner with my husband in a few hours — and will be singing this song, and playing my instrument with it. You just grabbed me. In a gooood God way. Thanks.

  3. Perfect verses for what’s in my heart today. Thank you!!

  4. This is one of my all-time favorite Psalms. Verse 4 is one of the 1st verses I committed to memory after becoming a Christian.
