Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.Isaiah 43:19 (NASB)
It’s the weekend. Around here we remove our shoes and tour the stillness. Start with Sandra Heska King’s Still Saturday. Then head over to Deidra Riggs’ place for The Sunday Community. You’ll join us, yes? We’ve saved you a place.
Beautiful picture.
Sharon, thank you. That little newborn is a spunky five-year-old (and a big sister!) now.
new, joyfully new
Yes. So precious.
Sheila, I haven’t been to your site in so long–it’s beautiful! And congratulations (I’m assuming a grandchild for you?).
Jody, thank you. I am glad I hired a pro.
We did welcome our ninth grandbaby in August, but this photo is five years old–when new baby’s big sister was new. I wrote this post more thinking of my sister and her family, who are embarking on a new chapter in their lives. Pray with me for that happy ending?
Precious picture; precious family. Wonderful scripture of newness.
I would love you to link to Sunday Stillness.
Blessings,
Janis http://www.janiscox.com
Thank you, Janis!
That picture is precious! 🙂
This Scripture is one of my favorites… God gave it to me during a dark season, and I am now walking the “the new.” Seeing it tonight reminded me of how far He has brought me.
Blessings to you, Miss Sheila. You encouraged my heart tonight.
Me too, Lyli. And you bless me with your kind words.
Grateful for every new thing He’s done in my life, the roadways and rivers that He created when I thought I was at a dead end. I choose not to forget His benefits!
Such a wise choice, Alison–one I strive for, but sometimes I fall short.
Dear Sheila
Oh, how often has our Lord taken me by my hand to lead me out of my wildernesses!
Blessings XX
Mia
He’s good that way (well, He’s good in every way–but that’s a favorite) isn’t He? Thanks for coming by, Mia.
Sweet, sweet memories that deserve yet one more look … and gently nudge us into a deeper trust as we reflect on His goodness, His bounties, His sweet blessings! Thank you for sharing your family with us, Sheila!
It’s my privilege, Linda. Absolutely!
Thoughtfully filled as usual. Never want to miss you…
Joanne, thank you for your kind words.
Sweet photo!
Isn’t it, though? Our DIL and her babies–so sweet.
