For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.Isaiah 9:6 (NASB)
It’s the weekend. Around here we remove our shoes and tour the stillness. Start with Sandra Heska King’s Still Saturday. Then head over to Deidra Riggs’ place for The Sunday Community. You’ll join us, yes? We’ve saved you a place.
I enjoyed seeing your figurines. Beautiful to be reminded that in One Baby resided our Wonderful Counselor, our Mighty God, our Eternal Father, our Prince of Peace. May my response be the same as theirs – to bring my best before Him in praise. Grateful that you shared this at The Sunday Community. May you have a blessed Christmas!
Thank you, Joanne. Blessings to you too!
Thank you for sharing words from Isaiah, Sheila … I’ve grown in appreciation for this book, this prophet, as I’ve made my way through advent this year.
May your Sabbath be sweet, restful, and hope-filled.
Sweet, restful, and hope-filled. Amen.
That one wise man with his arm extended, offering the gift, but his face turned away? Can’t take my eyes off him.
Thanks for linking up, Sheila! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Thank YOU, Deidra. Merry, merry Christmas to you.
Truly, truly like your nativity photo. And the Word, of course. I enjoy the nativities… have several in my not big house. A couple of them are very large, and some are moderate, and some very small. So enjoy seeing the Lord and His family and the ones who love him and sought Him out then. It’s a “grinning” time. Put them up a few days ago, but some are kept up all the time and some just for a couple months. But He can’t leave my house ever, ever, ever. Bless you and thank you.
That sounds lovely, Joanna. Just gorgeous.
