Daughter Elaine, Off the Coast of Raiatea, Society Archipelago, French Polynesia. January 2004.
Beseech Him with me:
Hope for Vanuatu.
Blue Skies for Guam and her neighbors.
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.Psalm 46:1-3 (NASB)
Shhh. It’s the weekend. Remove your shoes and step into the stillness. Stop by Sandra Heska King’s place for Still Saturday. Then head over to Lisha Epperson’s for Give Me Grace. You’ll join us, yes? It’s rest and refreshment–your very own tranquil retreat. And we saved a place for you.
Please join us.
Praying this Scripture with you this weekend, Sheila. Much love
Thank you, Lyli. I am grateful.
I feel the hush as the week’s days land upon the weekend. I find stillness here and peace even in the midst of Cyclone Pam news, worldly ways, and struggles everywhere. God’s Presence surpasses all of that and rains upon me as I ponder the Psalm.
Praising God.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda
Thanks for sharing that, Linda. Today’s peace is definitely the one that surpasses all understanding–at least at my house.
Praying with you that God’s refuge and strength reach down and save lives! – Slowly learning to step into Saturdays’s stillness. I am so intrigued by your Tuesday discussion – making a note to stop by!
Thank you, so much. The last word I had from my daughter (on Guam) is that all is well.
Praise God that we can be still and find refuge in Him! Praying with you for your daughter. Linked up with you at Still Saturday — hope you’ll stop by Saved by Grace for a visit!
God bless,
Laurie
Hi Laurie, Thanks for your prayers! The worst is passed and they’re all fine, thank God.
WOW! Loved this! Thanks for sharing it. You were/are a treat, as usual. Bless you!
Thanks, Joanne, for your encouragement. You bless me.
Thank you. You truly are a blessing. A heart-grabber. 😉
You too, Joanne. You too. xoxo
