“Rich lost his cell phone,” Dad reported. “Some guy there at your hotel found it.” Then he gave me the finder’s phone number. When I reported this news to Rich, he reflexively patted down his pockets. Then he used my phone to call the man
“I had no idea whose phone it might be,” our benefactor told him, “So I called the number saved as ‘Dad’ figuring that person would know whose phone it was.”
Genius
Before we even knew the phone was lost, a kind soul had gone out of his way to return it to where it belonged.
I know people who are lost and don’t seem to know it. This weekend, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, I’m hoping for a flash of genius, an inspiration to share some news with them:
I’ve found something precious and I want them to claim it.
12 In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. 13 But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to Him through the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:12-13 (NLT)
