Need a Little Encouragement? How About a Giveaway!

“I am a Masterpiece!”
A Sweet Reminder
I was not fond of myself as a teenager. Part of the problem was that I didn’t look right. As the whole world embraced Marsha Brady with her beautiful shiny straight blonde hair, parted down the middle, I struggled to tame my brunette curls.
I’m happy to say that I grew up and got over it. But in those angst-filled years, any bit of encouragement that came my way meant a lot to me.
So when the nice people at DaySpring invited me to review a product, I selected this plaque.
I would have loved this bit of decor when I was fifteen. Or eighteen. Or maybe even thirty-two. You can see the pretty palette used to create the plaque. Around the center of the flower are the words “I am a masterpiece!” and “Psalm 139:14.”
If you know a young lady who could use a reminder that she’s a masterpiece, I’d encourage you to consider picking up a copy as a gift.
To encourage you to share something sweet with someone who could use encouragement (even–especially–yourself!), I’m giving away a $20 gift code to DaySpring! That’s enough money to score this pretty plaque–or something else you love.

To enter the contest, comment on this post, sharing the most encouraging phrase you know. Post your comment by midnight PDT on Friday, June 24. Come Saturday morning, I’ll choose the winner.

14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139:14 (NASB)

The fine print:
DaySpring gave me this plaque at no cost so that I could review it. The opinions I share here are my own. If you’re curious about such things, please read my disclosure page.

The DaySpring folks also asked me to tell you that $20 gift code is good for a single use and expires on July 31, 2011. Shipping charges will apply to the winner’s order.

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” Amen and thank you, Jesus!

  2. I think Im a little more impressionist than a masterpiece. Kind of hard to figure out at first blush…

  3. I have a cross on my desk has Psalm 138:8 on it. “The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; Your love, O Lord, endures forever.” I’m counting on that!

  4. 2 Corinthians 4:17, For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

I keep this above my computer screen at work… so in the midst of being a frazzled mess I am still able to praise him.

  5. Oh, so hard to choose! But choose I must….
