Guam in Winter
New Year, New You?
I’m easing back into my “real life” after visiting my daughter and her family over Christmas.
On Guam.
I enjoyed the slower pace that results from honoring small childrens’ napping requirements. Or maybe it’s the parents of small children who require the children to nap. I luxuriated in the tropical climate, counting my blessings when I returned to California and learned that vast tracts of my country are enduring freakishly, frighteningly cold temperatures.
Anyway.
Next week I’ll resume posting. Meanwhile, might I invite you to peruse the bookshelf that I’ve added to this site? If you’ve resolved to discover new writers and/or musicians in 2014, you’ll find it helpful.
Happy, Blessed New Year to you and yours.
“Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
3 “Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 “Lift up your eyes round about and see;
They all gather together, they come to you.
Your sons will come from afar,
And your daughters will be carried in the arms.
5 “Then you will see and be radiant,
And your heart will thrill and rejoice;
Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you,
The wealth of the nations will come to you.Isaiah 60:1-5 (NASB)
