Weekend Reflection: Everything

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 (KJV)

Shhh. It’s the weekend. Remove your shoes and step into the stillness. Stop by Sandra Heska King’s place for Still Saturday. Then head over to Lisha Epperson’s for Give Me Grace. You’ll join us, yes? It’s rest and refreshment–your very own tranquil retreat. And we saved a place for you.

On Tuesdays, we’re talking about families and the joys and challenges that arise when we stretch across three (or more?) generations (child, parent, grandparent). The conversation began on January sixth  and we’ll continue until we run out of things to say. Everyone is welcome, and I hope to hear from each generation’s perspective.  Being family is by turns effortless, impossible, blessed, challenging, hurtful, joyous . . . . Let’s talk about it.

Please join us. Be a part of the conversation. Take a survey to help with research and be entered to win an Amazon gift card!

  1. So glad I found you on Still Saturday this morning. I used this as my first living intentionally in 2015 verse as I live my one word ABIDE. I am a fellow Bruin, with a B.A. in History. I now teach 7th grade English and History.

    • Welcome, Debbie! I’m so glad you came by. Teaching tweens is a special calling–they’re so diverse at that age. Abide–it’s one of those words that seems so simple, until one tries to live it.

  2. Beautiful Scripture & photo! May we always honor Him through prayer, rejoicing, and yielding to the Holy Spirit. Linked up with you at Give Me Grace — hope you’ll stop by Saved by Grace for a visit!
    God bless,

  3. I LOVE this photo! I’m a moon addict. Loved it and the Words, of course. You really grabbed me again, Sister. Bless you.

  4. Lovely photo and beautiful scripture
